Question: Will anyone in the Purchasing Management industry hire me if I have no real experience yet?
Answer: There is an extremely likelihood that this could happen. You could be hired in an entry level position or as an assistant to the Purchasing Manager. If you are hired as an assistant and show very good skills and potential, this is where you will get added responsibilities and gain experience in the purchasing field. It is a good idea to know most of your manager’s responsibilities so that in the event that person is no longer with the organization, you have the know-how to more responsibility within the organization. If this person is an experienced Purchasing Management Professional, he/she will give you as much responsibility as you can handle.
