Answer: There are many good places to find work as a Purchasing Management professional job boards are probably the most popular. Networking, however, is an equally popular place to seek employment. Also joining local associations can open up an extensive avenue for employment. Local colleges and universities sometimes have job postings on their website job boards. Talking with suppliers about their customers that can have openings is another good source, but be careful not to jeopardize your current position. One key thing to remember, especially if you work for a large organization, is to check for internal opening in the purchasing department. It is sometimes easier to transfer to the purchasing department with your current employer, than to be hired in the purchasing department of a new organization.
