Question: What tools do Purchasing Management professionals use every once in a while?
Answer: As discussed in the previous question, the tools may vary. Some of the tools used by one industry every day, may be used by others every once in a while. The tools used by a purchasing person in an original equipment manufacturer (blue prints, engineering drawings, etc.) may be used every once in a while by a purchasing professional that buys for a distributor. It really depends on the type of industry the Purchasing Management professional is performing the purchasing task in and the processes and procedures of the industry. There may be tools that are rarely used in one organization and used more often in a similar organization and both companies having a very strong purchasing department.
