Question: What should a Purchasing Management professional consider when being offered a job?

Answer: The things that must be considered when being offered a job are what role the purchasing position plays within the organization?  Is this going to be a strategic position or not?  What is the hiring manager’s idea for this position?  Does this position have potential to develop into a more critical role for this organization?  Is this position considered a key part in the daily functions of this organization?  Other things that have to be considered:  Does this position fulfill my desires professionally?  Does this position provide for me the opportunity to grow professionally? Would this organization support my professional growth?
