Question: Is there normal dress attire associated with a Purchasing Management career?
Answer: Over the past few year business dress has taken on many definitions and descriptions. Normal dress depends on the industry. If the industry norm is formal business attire, then that is what you should wear. Although most businesses are more casual today than 15-20 years ago, it is still a good idea to stay business casual if the work environment warrants it. There are some industries that require everyone to wear uniforms to show conformity. Just make sure your dress attire is commensurate with the industry you are working in. There are some for example who are very casual when there are not visitors on the premises and when visitors are on the premises, full business dress is required.
