Question: I am 47 years old, and wonder if I am too old to even try to switch careers and work in the Purchasing Management industry?

Answer: No, age should not be a consideration for switching careers and working in the Purchasing Management industry.  If there is an interest and a passion to learn about the field of Purchasing Management then you should embark on that interest.  Purchasing is a very competitive field, and it is not an easy field to succeed because of the rapid changes and the amount of information that has to be considered when making purchasing decisions, but with the correct training, and possibly finding a mentor that can give you some directions at times, a 47 year old can be very successful in the Purchasing Management industry.
