Answer: Finding clients is another area where networking is important.  If other purchasing professionals know the service is being offered, and if they need the service they will call.  Another way is advertising.  Advertising in professional publications and sending flyers/letters to other Purchasing professionals is ideal for finding clients.  Phone contact is also a good way to ensure that other Purchasing Management professionals are aware of the consultant’s services.  Like any other consulting business the purchasing Management consultant has to advertise and market their services to potential clients. Sometimes the best form of advertising is by performing excellent work for current clients, who  will recommend you to other potential clients.
