Answer: Purchasing Management professionals can build their network in three ways. The first, surrounding themselves with strong suppliers. Those suppliers who are leaders in their industry and can help solve problems when they arise. Secondly, the professional should get to know other professionals in the Purchasing Management field. Having conversations with people that deal with the same problems and issues as you, can sometimes give ideas of how to deal with the problems. Finally, understanding and working with the key players within the organization. The goal is to make sure that the purchasing goals were aligned with the rest of the goals of the organization.
