Also contact a local professional organization to see if any companies they affiliate with have any internships. Also see if these same organizations have a professional bank of companies that hire through their organization. If so, get the names of the companies and construct a professional letter explaining you are seeking an internship and give your contact information. You have to be creative when seeking internships because this is also a very competitive area for Purchasing Professionals.
